We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to join our supportive and collegial Technology Faculty. We are looking for a teacher with experience in teaching Digital Technology, and Design and Visual Communication to a senior level.

Food & Nutrition / Hospitality Teacher - Permanent, part-time (11 hours per week, 0.44FTTE)

Physical Education & Health Teacher - Permanent, full-time
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Physical Education and Health teacher to join our team. We offer a wide range of courses for our students, including academic and non-academic PE classes, popular Years 9 and 12-13 Adventure Education courses and an innovative Athlete Development Programme in Year 10 and 11.
Applicants will be committed to developing modern teaching and learning practices and will be familiar with NCEA and the New Zealand Curriculum. An ability to teach Adventure Education is an advantage.

Specialist ORS teacher - Permanent, full-time
The Awhina Centre is home for our ORS-funded students and those whose learning needs require a smaller and more specialised environment. Awhina students participate in the wider life of a school that values inclusivity and diversity - they join mainstream classes, participate in school events and activities, and oversee the school’s recycling programme.
Our students are supported by a small team of experienced and caring Awhina staff and work under the wider umbrella of Learning Support. We are seeking a Specialist Teacher to join our Awhina team, bring new ideas and experiences, and help build on and deliver appropriate learning programmes and opportunities for our students.
The successful applicant will be:
- a teacher who is experienced in working with ORS students, or is interested in working in this area
- passionate about supporting students to develop the key skills needed to become as independent as possible and experienced in developing IEP’s
- a great team player who is calm, innovative and student-focussed
- skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with families / whānau and others in and outside of the school.
This position would suit a primary or secondary-trained teacher and commences at the start of Term 1, 2025.
